On the other, it means there is always a channel to suit every taste, whether you want to watch, browse or read about the machinery that catches your eye.

A Small Fleet with Big Character

Among the more eye-catching operations is Fleenor Brothers, a small trucking firm based in Missouri. The company runs a handful of custom trucks on a variety of work and appears to cover all 48 contiguous states, though that is difficult to confirm with certainty. What is beyond doubt is the standard of the fleet. Every truck carries its own name, and every one of them is a stunner. One, nicknamed “Ron Burgundy”, is a particular standout.

Much of the fleet’s following has been built through social media. Several of the firm’s drivers post regularly, and the company itself maintains a profile, so following one driver quickly leads to others. For those who prefer their truck photography without the noise of more cluttered platforms, the format suits the subject well.

A Calendar Worth the Wait

The appeal of this small fleet runs deep enough that efforts had been made over two consecutive Decembers to buy its annual calendar. Requests to ship a copy to the UK had previously come to nothing, so it was a welcome surprise when, on the most recent attempt, the answer was yes. The calendar was ordered alongside a T-shirt, and the wait that followed was filled with the usual daily tracking checks to see where the package had got to.

When it finally arrived, the calendar did not disappoint. The photographs inside are excellent, and one month in particular promises to be especially enjoyable, even if it happens to be the shortest of the year.
