Happy New Year Bloggers!!!

2022 was a strange year. Too frantic for comfort, with far too much panic and urgency for anyone who prefers a slower pace. The Retro Truck Show weekend was the opposite: relaxed, unhurried, full of good conversation and good company. That is the mood worth carrying into the year ahead.

The show also raised a question. Plenty of photographers were working over the weekend and on the way out of the site, so there must be pictures of the #Gr814 somewhere. Even with the fuel cap left off, they would be good to see.

More writing, more often

The aim for this year is to publish more regularly. Life gets in the way, as it does, but there is room for more posts than appeared over the past twelve months. Anyone with something to share is welcome to get in touch and have it published here for others to read and enjoy.

There is also a hope of getting to Assen with the #Gr814, though that depends on circumstances. Getting the vehicle painted before the show season is another ambition, and one with its own problems still to solve.

A request for photographs

An influx of photographs is expected over the coming days, and any pictures of an 814 would be welcome. One image in particular would be good to see again: two or three of them lined up in a yard, light blue cabs with dark blue bodies, all sleeper cabs, possibly somewhere in the Midlands. It would make useful inspiration.
