Truckstar Festival 2022 – #1

The 2022 edition of the Truckstar Festival proved to be the finest of eight visits for this particular attendee, and the reason had as much to do with the people as the vehicles.

A Warm Welcome

What stood out most was the hospitality. Truck people looked after others who, through no fault of their own, could not always return the favour in kind. That generosity was genuinely humbling to experience.

The Dutch, in this view, operate in a league of their own. Nothing is ever a problem, everything revolves around friends, and everyone is included.

Thanks All Round

Gratitude goes to everyone seen, met and shared a beer with over the weekend. The feeling afterwards was of being honorary Dutch. Good people, good food, good beer, good trucks and some wonderfully crazy music.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the Dutch friends on the road, and equally to the English friends who made the trip.

The festival delivered everything a truck enthusiast could want, and then some. The company, the atmosphere and the machines combined to make it a weekend worth repeating.
